Macmillan coffee morning at Citynet Insurance Brokers HQ

It has finally arrived!

Today, 29^th of September 2017, people all over the country will be taking part in an activity that’s tasty, fun and also helps raise funds and awareness for a truly worthy cause.

I think it’s fair to say that all of us at Citynet Insurance Brokers are fans of cake and sweet treats. One reason more to save a special spot on our calendar for the world’s biggest #MacmillanCoffeeMorning.

The chance to enjoy some tasty bites along with a hot beverage, while providing support for Macmillan at the same time, has become a tradition in our HQ year on year.

Each and every one of us has made a special effort today by baking, buying and bringing is the most delicious treats. Our baking competition has seen people of all ages getting involved. It is with great pride that we announce the winner of our Best Baker competition. This year we award this prize to one of our youngest member of staff, Ellis Jardine. Citynet provides sponsorship for a number of football, rugby and boxing clubs both in the UK and Ireland.

Our latest sponsorship is Kinawley GAA, a small Gaelic football club in rural South Fermanagh. The club encourages kids of all abilities and backgrounds to take part in the sport of Gaelic Football. Citynet has very kindly agreed to sponsor the club where funds will go towards underage football teams boys & girls as well as helping out with the build of a new running/walking track. Photos attached includes our Kit which the U14 girls will wear with pride, Citynet was present when the new kits got handed out.

 

Citynet Insurance Brokers expands London Market Property/Casualty team with Account Executive hire.

Citynet Insurance Brokers, a leading wholesale insurance broker in both UK and Ireland, are pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Wadhams as an Account Executive. Matt joins their London market Property/Casualty division.

With over 16 years of experience in the London Wholesale market, Matt joins Citynet from JLT where he held a position of Associate Director for over 10 years. His responsibilities included the day to day broking and handling of enquiries, overseeing the team and developing new Agent and Underwriter relationships.

In his new role, Matt will be an integral part of the Citynet UK wholesale Property/Casualty division, bringing new ideas and new markets to the team, providing expertise and broking skills necessary to place difficult risks. He will help Citynet’s UK division maintain relationships whilst winning new business in conjunction with new and existing partners.

Citynet sponsors under 13’s Galleywood Eagles Football Team

Citynet is proud to renew its sponsorship for Galleywood Eagles under 13’s Football Team. Ongoing support of our community has now become a tradition for Citynet Insurance Brokers.

The Galleywood YFC U13 Eagles were formed in 2012 and play their football in the Blackwater & Dengie Youth League which covers Chelmsford and the surrounding areas. As a club, Galleywood YFC is one of the biggest in Essex with over 27 boys and girls teams covering age groups from U7s through to U17s.

Promotion in the 2016-17 season saw the Galleywood YFC U13 Eagles reach the 1st Division for the first time in their history and they were the Broomfield 5 a-side Cup winners in 2016.

The upcoming 2018-19 season once again sees the team in the top division of the Blackwater & Dengie Youth League as they move to the 11 a-side format for the first time.

D.I.S.C.O Balls rugby team runners up in the Mens Open Competition at the Heineken Kinsale Rugby 7s

Kinsale 7s,Ireland’s largest rugby festival based in Kinsale, Co. Cork, takes place every year over the first May Bank Holiday weekend. This year Heineken Kinsale 7s was yet another record-beating success. 80 teams fought it out across five competitions, and the standard of 7s rugby reached another high.

Citynet Insurance Brokers were proud to sponsor The D.I.S.C.O. Balls Rugby team that entered the Men’s Open competition for the first time this year. They played an amazing and very competitive rugby ultimately finishing runners-up out of the seven teams playing in this category.

D.I.S.C.O. Balls Rugby (made up of players from Haywards Heath Rugby Club in Sussex) are already planning to go back to Kinsale next year with the high hopes to be the winners of the Men’s Open competition and look forward to having the same sponsor support from Citynet and others.
